It’s at this time of year, with 5 more weeks of school holidays ahead of me that I start to assess how woefully ill-equipped I am for the parental mountain ascent that lay before me. My fridge stores are taking a battering, my sanity is being tested and my patience road-tripped to its outer most boundaries in a shabby, floorless tuk-tuk. But one thing’s for sure, while I slowly tear my hair out and thank the child-rearing gods that we’re all still alive at the end of each day, I’ll be suitably, and hopefully stylishly, dressed for my mission! It’s no secret that my love for Fat Face runs deep, so I teamed up with them to ensure my clothes were the least of my worries from morning through til night this summer hols.View Post
Dress like a mum – but not THAT mum, a stylish, sassy and confident one! My style tips on what to wear to get you through motherhood.
Ok, so I think it’s pretty safe to assume that as the Easter holidays approached, 2-4 weeks with your little darlings laying ahead of you like a gauntlet of bank balance hating activities and continuous feeding, you didn’t stop to worry about what clobber you might don in these parentally stressful times. But I’m always up for shoe-horning a bit of retail therapy into even the most tenuous of excuses, so bear with me.View Post
It’s not often I whoop and holler in excitement at a brightly coloured object – partly because, as a toddler mum, they usually come with flashing lights and an incredibly irritating tune. But the moment I set eyes on my Melrose Mac at Fatface HQ it was love at first sight. As a mum of footballing boys, until this season, I’ve been remarkably ill equipped on the waterproofs front, so it’s no understatement to say my new canary hued friend has been a game changer.View Post
Ermahgerd – it’s December! Where did that come from? It means for the next three weeks our weekends are filled with ice-skating, winter fairs, Santa’s grottos and yes, even more chilly morning football matches. So yesterday, when we had a rare football-free day, we relished the opportunity to drink bucket loads of hot choc, light the fire, snuggle under our duvets and open our box of FatFace goodies to get involved with our new Pjs and festive onsies.View Post
My love of lounge-wear only really took hold shortly after having my first bubs in 2006. In a constant state of “is it day or night?”, not knowing if I was sleep walking or actually awake in the stupor that can only come in those early weeks of motherhood – I yearned for, and very much needed, to envelope myself in luxury – super comfy luxury. As if all my 3am prayers had been answered (not the ones about having a sleeping baby) I stumbled upon Hush – at the time selling swoon-worthy PJs, sheepskin slippers and a couple of super soft jersey basics. I was smitten, even buying my new little, non-sleeping bundle matching pinstripe PJs long before twinning was considered winning or even a concept at all!View Post
